Boom Media Global, Inc. host workshop to help employees improve time management
Many people use the excuse of not having enough time for failing to reach their goals. Florida-based outsourced sales and marketing firm, Boom Media Global, Inc., held a time management workshop this week designed to help their employees boost productivity and achieve their goals.
CEO at Boom Media Global, Inc. Edwin Jacques argues that the difference between successful and unsuccessful people is how they utilize their time. “If you look at any successful person, they manage their time effectively. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, the difference is successful people utilize every hour,” commented Mr Jacques.
During the companywide workshop, the business owner shared his top tips to improve time management.
- Do the most important task first
Tackling the toughest task in the morning will instil a sense of accomplishment and will establish momentum to help people get through the day, and achieve optimum productivity.
- Follow the 80-20 rule
Also known as the Pareto principle, the 80-20 rule states that 80% of the results come from 20% of the efforts. The key is to identify the 20% of the efforts that are producing 80% of the results with meticulous tracking and analysis.
- Eliminate bad habits
Boom Media Global, Inc. argues that success is a result of good habits implemented daily. The outsourced sales and marketing experts argue that bad habits are extremely detrimental and can derail progress. Bad habits can range from excessive social media use to not waking up early enough in the morning. The key is to recognize these as bad habits and work to eliminate them.
- Use a to-do list
There are conflicting opinions on the effectiveness of to-do lists, however CEO at Boom Media Global, Inc. Edwin Jacques contends that to-do lists can be influential to boost time management. A to-do list sets goals for the day. Daily goals are easier to achieve and are pivotal in helping to move towards the end goal. There is also a sense of satisfaction when ticking off tasks that have been completed.
- Find a mentor
A mentor is invaluable. CEO Edwin Jacques has a number of coaches and mentors who have been pivotal to his business success. “A mentor holds you accountable to your goals and provides tremendous advice and guidance. Having someone to turn to who has already been through that same experience makes it easier to stick to your goals and stay on track time-wise,” commented Mr Jacques.
Boom Media Global, Inc. is a young, fresh and dynamic outsourced sales and marketing firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
